SMS Notifications — Consent & Opt-In Policy

How Tradellen collects consent before sending text messages.

Who receives messages

Tradellen is a field-service management platform used by home-service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and similar trades). Messages are transactional and are sent to two groups only — never to purchased lists and never for unrelated marketing:

How customers opt in (consent)

A customer opts in by affirmatively checking a clearly-labeled consent box when they book an appointment online (or by giving their mobile number to the business and agreeing to text updates over the phone or in person). The booking form presents the consent language below next to an unchecked checkbox the customer must check to proceed; consent is recorded with a timestamp.

Consent language shown on the online booking form:

"I agree to receive appointment confirmations, reminders and service updates by text message from [Business Name] at the number I provided. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See the Privacy Policy and Terms."
Sample customer message:
"[Business Name]: You're confirmed for Tue 2:00 PM (AC repair). Your technician Diego will text when he's on the way. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

How technicians opt in (consent)

A technician is added to the messaging program only when their employer enters the technician's mobile number into their Tradellen account and confirms the technician has agreed to receive work-related text notifications. Consent is recorded with a timestamp.

Consent language agreed by the technician:

"I agree to receive work-related text messages (job schedules, dispatch updates, and appointment notifications) from my employer through Tradellen. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help."

What messages are sent

These are transactional, account/operational notifications. Tradellen does not send marketing or promotional messages, and does not share or sell phone numbers or mobile opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

Message frequency

Frequency varies based on activity — typically only around the time of a booking or a job (often just a few messages per appointment or workday).

Opt-out and help

Anyone can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; they will receive a confirmation and no further messages. Replying HELP returns support contact information. Message and data rates may apply.

Sample message:
"Tradellen: Your jobs today — 9:00 AM Jane Doe @ 14 Maple Ave (AC repair); 1:00 PM Bob Lee @ 5 Oak St (water heater). Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
