Field operations
Control what technicians can do from their phone. These permissions are enforced for the account, not just hidden in the dashboard.

Allow technicians to record offline payments

Cash, check or bank transfer collected in the field. Off by default — techs can still send the customer a secure pay link.

Field card-present collection (foundation)

Prepares card-present (Stripe Terminal) for the field. Tap-to-pay needs a supported reader or the native app — it is not available in the mobile browser, where the secure payment link stays the way to take a card.
Used to estimate labor cost on jobs that don't have a rate from a timesheet. Labeled "est" until you enter real hours/rate on the job.
Payment collection (Stripe)
Connect your own Stripe account so customer invoice and service-plan payments go directly to your business. Until onboarding is complete, online collection is clearly marked as not live or test-only.
In-person card readers and tap-to-pay are not available in this web app; collect in person with a secure invoice pay link or record an offline payment on the invoice.

Account controls
Deactivating blocks all sign-ins (yours and your office logins) until support reactivates — nothing is deleted. Requesting deletion schedules a permanent removal in 30 days; you can keep working and cancel any time before then. Invoices, payments and the audit trail are kept for the legally required period even after deletion.

Set up texting in 5 steps
  1. Create a free account at twilio.com.
  2. Buy a local phone number (about $1/month) — Console → Phone Numbers → Buy a number (SMS-capable).
  3. From the Console dashboard, copy the account ID and security token Twilio gives you.
  4. Paste them (and your Twilio number) into the fields below, then click Save & connect.
  5. Enter your mobile and Send test SMS to confirm delivery.

US carriers require Twilio A2P 10DLC registration before texts deliver. Your security token is stored securely. This is separate from your receptionist phone number.
